Awesome news for all the Call of Duty 4 players from the Benelux as the Electronic Sports League (ESL) has announced that the second game in the EPS pool will be COD4. The actual prize pot is not announced yet but more information about this will be announced next week.
Not that much has been announced as also the amount of teams has not been decided yet, but it should follow this weekend. The only way to qualify is by playing in the Amateur Series and getting in the top of that ladder.
Due to a dissapointing performance at CIC7, the British eSports team Infused has decided to let go of its Call of Duty 4 squad. The team had the hardest group at the event, being put together with both Fnatic and Reason who both came out as finalists at the event.
However the management of Infused decided to release the squad. The main motivation behind this is that Infused want a Top10 European squad as that is where they belong, Infused wrote on their website. What happens next with the team is not known although Chris 'chenson' Henson has been spotted searching for a new team.

Infused:
Our Call of Duty 4 team joined us in October of 2009 and have experienced minor changes over the course of their stay under the Team Infused banner, however today, Wednesday 10th March 2010, we must release them to enable infused to persue a roster within the Call of Duty 4 European Top 10, where we believe we should rightfully reside.
This decision was by no means an easy one, unfortunately we have to say goodbye to old friends. However when one door closes, another door swings open.
The Infused.COD4 lineup was:
Robbie 'RobzJE' Heaton Chris 'chenson' Henson Darren 'wannabe' Borrow Lee 'PuKka' Martin Patrick 'puNi' Stemmler

A former Team Dignitas player, Felix 'Cleric' StĂĄlenhag who was a part of our World In Conflict lineup, has received an award for his heroic actions which occured when the shop where he works got robbed.
In the video you can see how Cleric was working in the supermarket when suddenly someone pulls out a gun and demands the money. When a customer decides to smack down the robber Cleric helped him and the two men held down the robber until the police came. For this they have been given an award which can all be seen on the video.
The Swedish eSports teams Begrip are back in the Counter-Strike 1.6 scene just one month after losing its previous lineup to the H2k side. Even though the old Begrip team was really getting a positive reputation, the management did not have to settle for less with the new team.
In the lineup we see Fredrik 'JAEGARN' Andersson who has represented Begrip several times in the past. He brought in oldskool talent such as Max 'azl' Höög, known for his time in NiP. We will see the team in action in the EPS Scandinavia tournament and most likely at several upcoming LAN events.

Daniel 'rape' Borzsonyi:
Well me and JAEGARN started to talk about playing together, but really materialised. Then some weeks after we agreed we should fix some players and start a team, nothing deadly serious but serious. We started to look for players and since fredde (JAEGARN) has a bigger contact list than me, he fixed azl and then azl fixed fnazze. Later on we had to have our last player so I talked to everybody I am mates with that is really good in game, and we found godlike (David). We just felt there was a great chemistry between us after a while.
We have decided right now that we are going to play EPS Scandinavia where we are in the Playoffs, and then we will go to the LAN Copenhagen Games, after that we'll see if there will be any more LANs we are going to attend.
The new Begrip roster is:
Fredrik 'JAEGARN' Andersson Max 'azl' Höög Per 'fnazze' Höglund David 'godlike' Livmar Daniel 'rape' Borzsonyi
