TLR returns to COD4 |
Just a few moments ago, the British based multigaming organisation The Last Resort (TLR) announced its return to the Call of Duty Series, by re-adding a Call of Duty 4 team. The team joining them is a newly formed team with a lot of known faces.
We see two former TLR players returning to the organisation, David 'seeker' Thomas and Steven 'Stat' Szabo, the latter who has recently become clanless after the MYM cod4 team split up. Also Ryan 'dUffER' Duffy is a known name, as we recently saw him play for the last TCM lineup, before that team split up also. Another player that cannot be forgotten is without a doubt Luka 'lukzaR' Puš, who has played in our very own COD4 team a few months ago. With these players, and two others, TLR will make a comeback to the COD4 scene.
Quote: Ryan ' dUffER' Duffy:
I am very pleased to be joining TLR with my new teammates I've been in and out of some orgs the last 3months from internal problems, mangement kicking players and people stealing extra mousemats! So I'm really looking to make TLR a longtime home for myself and my newteam mates. We have alot of hardwork to do on the course coming up to i35 I just hope we can achieve this with being as active as possible, alot of hardwork and a lilttle bit of fairydust cya xx
The current TLR.COD4 lineup is:
Joshua 'auso' Goodwin
David 'seeker' Thomas
Steven 'Stat' Szabo
Ryan 'dUffER' Duffy
Luka 'lukzaR' Puš
Žiga 'ikky' Kovac
Good luck to the team. |

Lian-Li launches the EX-H34 HDD rack mount kit and the BS-08 Fan blower |
26 August, 2008, Keelung, Taiwan – Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd is launching the EX-H34 HDD rack to support 4x 3.5” HDD’s in an all aluminum frame and housing. The HDD rack has a front loading door, with individual handles on a bracket for each HDD, as well as a back panel PCB designed to accept most modern SATA HDD configurations in a Hot Swap Plug & Play configuration supporting RAID 0, 1 and 0+1, depending on your motherboard configuration. To keep the device cool there is a 120mm fan (1500RPM) with a washable nylon filter keeping dust and debris out.
The HDD rack takes up the equivalent of 3x 5.25 bays, and can be installed into the front 5.25” panels of most modern chassis. This is ideal for those cases with rows of 5.25” bays, but with very little HDD space.
The cage is lockable and complements Lian Li style with the hair-line brushed anodized aluminum in a black finish, combined with finely filed edges, and hand crafted tooling to prevent jagged edges, lending both safety and elegance to this neat HDD cluster rack.
Mounting HDD’s is very convenient, with each handle mounted using screws, which act as guiding wheels as the hot swap HDD device is inserted onto the back panel securely. For more information about Lian Li and Lian Li products please goto the lian li website: link.
Lian Li is also introducing the new BS-08, a fan ducting system designed to prevent heat buildup within your case around the graphics card area. The two 120mm fans within the aluminum shroud duct suck the hot air from around your VGA components and expel it out the PCI mounting bracket. The BS-08 takes up 2 PCI slots and installs as if mounting a PCI card, while taking up two PCI bays in the process. The double 120mm fan duct effectively expels hot air before it can be redistributed within the case. The aluminum housing retains the customary quality and craftsmanship adhered to by Lian Li.

Sample This COD4 closes its doors, for now |
Today, the Dutch based Call of Duty 4 team Sample This announced that it will be closing its doors for now. The team has had some lineup changes a month ago, but those changes were not enough to save the team. The team stated that they were no longer able of practicing every day, which is why the team decided to close its doors for now.
Lars 'lrs' van Everdink has decided to quit competitive gaming for now, to join the Sample This management. Robert 'mean' Kouters stated that he is still looking for a new team to play competitively again. Niels 'nielsson' Gosman is taking a break from competitive gaming, to see what his other options in life are. Robin 'ImpreZ' Mertz is considering to quit his COD4 carreer. Both Kaj 'kajsk1ng' van Staalduinen and Jim 'ownrr' de Ronde are still going over their options and are not sure about what to do yet. Sample This has announced they will be rebuilding the roster from scratch to start over again.
Quote: Jim ' ownrr' de Ronde:
I joined up with team sample this about a month ago after a good performance during the online i34 qualifiers. Unfortunately due to personal reasons I was unable to attend i34 itself but the team performed really nice in England. After this tournament the team came back home and the plans where to play online as much as possible again.
However, things didn't turn out as we expected, people became inactive, the fun ingame was gone and instead of playing as much as possible we played zero to none online matches after i34. ImpreZ, Kaj and I are still thinking about what to do next but hopefully you will see us all again soon!
The Sample This.COD4 lineup was:
Jim 'ownrr' de Ronde
Kaj 'kajsk1ng' van Staalduinen
Lars 'lrs' van Everdink
Robert 'mean' Kouters
Niels 'nielsson' Gosman
Robin 'ImpreZ' Mertz
Good luck to the players in the future. The announcement of Sample can be found here. |
