We are proud to announce that Team Dignitas has been nominated for the eSports Team of the Year by the eSport Award 2007. We have been nominated for our World in Conflict team's perfomances this year and also for the guide that we have recently released for the community on the Intel Gaming Website.

Quote:World in Conflict is new to the eSport scene. But the tournaments which were held were all visited and won by Team Dignitas. They do a lot of work for the game and published a big guide with all the information about the game. These guys not only play but really love this game.
The eSports Award Ceremony will be held at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany on the 25th August. Other nominees in the eSports Team of the Year section include Fnatic CS, PGS Gaming CS, Pandemic WoW and World Elite WC3. A total of ten awards will be handed out including three that will be voted for by the public. |

Kinda weird, for a game that aint even played competive.
But congrats though! |
| Not really, but u still deserved an award :) |
It was built for competive team play :p and it getting quite big tbh. and really tbh it should not just be the wic team that deserve this but the whole of team dignitas as there put in a amzaing amount of effort and come on top on many diffenret games
i hope we win :D |
| hah you obviously havent played it then mate because the game is BUILT for esports with all of its features + its at every CPL stop + its only in beta stages and has clans like ToT playing, CS went through god knows how many betas (months/years) before it was propley competative WiC is just into its open beta phase and has more cash prizes/tournaments recentley than any other esports game,if thats not competative i dont know what is. |
| A number of teams are playing WiC completely now, for a game in the beta stage it will hit the ground running upon fall release. |
Nice, altho i guess you haven't won -every- single one as of yesterday :p
Well deserved tho.
oh and #1
"The eight-month 2007 CPL Sierra Entertainment World Tour, boasting a total competitive purse of $500,000, includes stops in Italy, Sweden, the United States, Australia and Brazil, and will culminate with a $300,000 Grand Prize Final."
Yeah its not like its played competitively or like there's any cash involved ;o |
| #7 So if there is cash involved It's competive? What a nonsonse. |
| #8, exactly! Cash = competitive. It also takes a lot of team work and if a team is stronger than the other team then it also shows. |
Congratulations!
You made the best possible performance, so you deserve the recognizion of the nomination - but the final award probably goes to PGS for winning WCG and ESWC in the world's most competitive game. |
| But did they do a game guide too IstvaN!!! :P |
| I do also guess PGS is going to win the "eSports team of the year" award, since they have been the most stable team around in the most competitive game around at the moment, as IstvaN already said. |
Dogbert must have been the sole reason for this nomination, not these "gameguids" or winning every CPL Tour Stop :P
Congratulations. |
=) nice guys!!
next year the UT squad will follow up on that and make sure we get recognized for some nice ut3 performance... cu there zacc? :P |
| i miss a game and u guys lose wtf :P |
no0bster is right ...
